Over 10 years ago, the Belgium-based company, The Cookware Company, had an opportunity to re-invent non-stick cookware and ensure toxins like PFAS were eliminated from home kitchens. Unlike traditional non-stick coatings, GreenPan was created using a ceramic coating that is derived from sand, just like glass, and is free of any PFAS, PFOAs, Lead and Cadmium. The advantages of ceramic are far beyond being non-stick and easy to clean. Gourmet lovers use GreenPan because ceramic is highly conductive and has the ability to sear and brown at high temperatures, with no fear of off-gases.
